Speculation: When will we get more news?

For a while now the Guild Wars community has been without any real news. We get interviews here and there but mostly these are a rehash of stuff we already know or about stuff that only 10% really care about. So then the questions remains: When will we get some solid teeth-sinking news about something we don’t already know? Like maybe a new profession. My guess would be very soon. You now probably have a weird look on your face and a thought that goes something like “How does he know this” or “That dude is crazy!”. But let me take a moment and give a reason behind my prediction.
Earlier this year we were treated to the first book in now what looks to be a 4-book series, where the first one was called “Guild Wars : Ghosts of Ascalon”, if you have not read this book I would recommend you buy and read it. For the careful readers this book was a news source, this book revealed the Necromancer professions before it was announced and playable during GamesCon 2010.
The second book “Edge Of Destiny” is to be released around Christmas time this year and my guess would be that some new professions are introduced in this book. It’s hard to say that the book will once again be the source of news like this, but my guess would be that these two will be connected somehow. Maybe in a press release before the book is launched saying “New locations new professions are included” or something like that.
But I’m saying this again just to make it clear, these are my thoughts and predictions. No inside information has been given, Anet is keeping their cards very close to their heart and at the end of the day “We’ll get news when they give the news”. I’m reasonably certain there won’t be “major” news revealed again until closer to the summer convention season of 2011… They will give us a bit here and there to keep us going, maybe a couple of juicy nuggets around the end of Febuarary or in March just to get us through the winter and still thinking about the game, but nothing major…
Major reveals will start again in June of 2011 and continue through the convention season (E3, Gamescon, Pax, etc…) and we will be able to tell from the degree of “ramp up” in info whether or not we’re looking at a holiday release for 2011 which is my “optimistic” prediction… you don’t want to know what the pessimistic prediction is…
I have no idea anymore, they release a TON of info and gave us a playable demo but then havnt given us much since then and told us “it’ll be ready when it’s ready” so I have no idea any more, lol.
if i had to speculate on anything i’d be willing to bet that we’ll still be tripping over broken flutes in the early stages of the game, lol.
So you are confirming here and now that Logan is not the only descendant of Thackeray and Gwen and that the “not yet announced” character is going to be an antagonist?
